Host an international event to support establishing film commissions in ASEAN
The Busan Film Commission (BFC), AFCNet Secretariat, is hosting "ASEAN-ROK Film Community Project" with assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea and Association of South-East Asian Nations(ASEAN) to help the development of film industries and to establish film commissions in Vietnam and Myanmar. This event will be co-hosted by Vietnam Cinema Department, Myanmar Motion Picture Enterprise and the Busan Film Commission; sponsored by AFCNet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea and ASEAN.

6 of 10 ASEAN countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand joined AFCNet, and there is an active movement toward setting up film commissions in Lao, Myanmar and Vietnam. AFCNet will not spare efforts to support and collaborate to establish film commissions in those countries.
Furthermore, AFCNet ASEAN Committee will officially open next year to promote networking projects between Asian countries.
